There are some points that do need to be addressed when
communicating with Braille but we'll guide you through these at the
time. They mostly concern your requirements, and the recipient's
needs. Some are covered below, but we're always ready to help if
there's anything that's new to you or that you've been asked
				for.

				Do you require a reply?

If you've already communicated with the recipient, it may have
already been decided how they should do this, but if not, you do
need to offer a range of alternatives; by phone, an audio
				message, email and so on.

Are you requesting personal data or information

If you're sending a form that needs completion, consider
offering to complete it over the phone with them, or suggest
				that a relative
				or trusted
friend maybe able to help if the information is not of a
private, personal or confidential nature. Then you don't have to
go to the expense of having the form transcribed to Braille.

				Postage

Do you wish the Braille document to be sent back to you to send
out or deliver yourselves, or sent direct to the recipient along
				with the original document?
				Document
to be sent by Special Delivery? We can easily set this up for
you - post the Braille and original document direct to  the
recipient and send you the track and trace details.
There is also the Royal Mail Articles for the Blind free postal
service but it's not secure, items may be intercepted and opened
				by Royal Mail staff.

				Special requirements

Some Braille readers may ask for single-sided embossing; treasury
tagged documents, Grade1 (beginners Braille) or extra line
spacing. Generally speaking, if they have preferences, they will
tell you. Whatever is requested, we'll do it. But if there are
no requests, we'll use the common format of Grade2 (contracted
Braille) double sided embossing, comb binding (unless a single
page, or two, when we'll treasury tag) and single line spacing.
